Thank you for a wonderful tour of Tokyo in a personalised fashion, taking into account our needs of the day. Starting with Tsukiji fish market, even on a holiday was enjoyable. Special sushi shop was a treat. The day proceeded to Omotesando with Oriental bazaar curios and cute Cat cafe. Gumi, the cat pics were liked by many pf our friends. Simple joy of walking around the streets of Omotesando and having an ice cream cone and chatting up in local trains (Tokyo train stations are surely confusing to the best of Japanese locals too!) was memorable! Thanx for arranging Robot restaurant razzmatazz! Having dinner yakitori and “Hoppy” in the small lanes of Omoide yokocho reminded us to come again. And of course, u made a special effort to come back and drop us at the hotel, late and tired as we all were, and waving us goodbye will be taken back as memories……Thanx once again and till ours paths cross again….
Very Hospitble and best guide we could wish
    All the best

Gizem is wonderful: smart, friendly and a true foodie! I liked how easy-going she was and it truly felt like I was touring with a friend. Mostly toured Asakusa and Ometesando Hills. Very easy to adjust itineraries with her as well as receive guidance based on the interests you share with her. Plus, her English AND Japanese is quite fluent, making it very easy to ask her any questions. Thank you

Just got back from an exiting day in Tokyo. Truely the best part was Gizem’s food tour. Although we had a lot of rain, she let the city shine, showing us the best and most crazy foodspots ever. We had an awesome time doing things we never thought we would do!!. Many Thanks 💚

Whether you are a visitor or a local, I highly recommend this unique and intimate vegan experience. Jackie and Giz were extremely friendly, engaging, and truly provided one of the best food tour experiences I’ve ever had. Jackie’s knowledge and genuine excitement for vegan food and Tokyo was incredible. She made the tour so much fun and cultivated a community among all of us tour-goers. She introduced me to spots I would have never known about and I loved how they were all local and mom-and-pop shops, so we could support and get to know the local small businesses. I truly recommend this experience for vegans and non-vegans alike. The food was delicious and the company was even better. Jackie and Giz even surprised us with special vegan treats for the hot day on the tour. They went above and beyond to ensure we were all taken care of. I learned a lot and will definitely be joining future tours and telling everyone about this!

Oh my, where do I start. Giz was nothing short of FREAKING AMAZING! This was our very first time in Tokyo and she knocked out of the park. She was booked solid when we first tried to book her (now I know why lol) but my 10-year-old daughter and I came all the way from California and this tour was top on our list because were major foodies. On a whim I reached out to Giz and crossed my fingers she would be able to squeeze us in. Boy did she ever. Our tour turned into a private tour with just Giz, myself and my daughter. We had so much fun with her that she had me and my daughter wanting to pack our bags and move to Tokyo. We could have NEVER in a million years seen or tasted everything Giz showed us and I am an EXPERT trip planner (and travel agent/travel blogger). We made an instant connection and I loved how she not only communicated with me but also made sure to show special attention to my daughter making her feel special. She planned stops that not only I would love but my 10-year-old would love too (which is not always easy because this kid is well-traveled and picky). During the tour, she explained the history of the area and pointed out pop-culture that my daughter could relate too. The food stops she picked were top notch and she knew all the short cuts. She made us laugh during the tour and made us cry when it was time to say good-bye. We seriously did not want to leave. We have visited 9 different countries and 40 states and my daughter said this was the BEST trip and tour she has ever taken. I’m not sure how any future trip we take will live up to this one. She was easy to talk to, spoke excellent English, was great with kids and left us with a list of places to see and places to eat for the rest of our trip. We loved her so much that at the end of the tour we wanted to book another of her tours but sadly she was booked and we were leaving 2 days later. My daughter and I are already plotting our next trip back to Tokyo not only to explore the city more but to hang out with our new friend Giz. I seriously can not express how amazing this trip was. If you are a solo traveler BOOK THIS TOUR. If you are traveling with kids BOOK THIS TOUR if you love food BOOK THIS TOUR. Seriously…just book this tour lol. Thank you so much, Giz for everything. You will ALWAYS have a friend in California so please don’t hesitate to contact me if you’re ever in my area. I would love to return the favor of showing you my city. You are FREAKING AMAZING!

I loved my tour around Tokyo with Gizem. She is really knowledgeable about the culture, traditions, and current trends in the city. She helped me cover as much as possible during the few hours I had and managed to customize and adapt the tour based on what I wanted to do and eat. I highly recommend Gizem and her team!

On my last visit to Tokyo I did a gluten free food tour with the wonderful and lovely Gaizem from Foodie Adventure Japan. My hotel was in Asakusa and we also wanted to spend the morning there, Gizem picked me up at the hotel. From the first moment, I felt in good hands. Our first stop was a wonderful viewing platform from which we could see the Asakusa shrine and the shopping street in front of it. Gizem told me a lot about Asakusa and also things that I would never have noticed. I only say beer 😉 Asakusa is actually the part of Tokyo that I know best, but Gizem showed me so many new things this morning. There were also some insider tips. We tried the candy and since I’m only allowed to eat gluten free, it was so helpful to have someone tell me what to eat and what not to eat. I would have missed so many goodies without Gizem’s explanations. “Unfortunately” she also showed me a candy that I am totally addicted to. After that day I went to this booth every day and got a portion. Through this tour I also got to know one of my favorite restaurants in Tokyo, where I know exactly what it tastes like and it is gluten-free. Before we left Asakusa, we prayed at the shrine and Gizem explained exactly how to prepare and how to pray there. Let’s see, maybe my wish will come true ;-).

This first half of the day was a total highlight for me, but there was also a great second half which I want to share with you now. From Asakusa we drove down to Teamlab Borderless. The trip was really relaxing and we had long and meaningful discussions. On our Journey Gizem explained everything, for example which buildings we just passed.
After a short stop at Starbucks, marveling at the statue of liberty and the huge Gundem, we went directly to Teamlab Borderless. Folks if you are in Tokyo this is definitely a must. In Teamlab Boderless we directly went to the tea house, ordered tea and ice cream each and have a look at these wonderful lighting effects. Then we looked at the different rooms and had a lot of fun. The whole day with Gizem was a real experience for me. I’ve had a couple of tours in Tokyo with guides, but none of them could match the Food Adventures tour. It was like being with a friend, having fun and learning a lot about Tokyo instead a guided tour where the interpersonal is missing. I and you very likely will also have a lot of fun with her and I really recommend everyone to book a tour with her when they have the chance to do so.

    She leads
    -normal food tours
    – gluten-free food tours
    -vegan / vegetarian food tours
    -or completely different tours.

But what am I saying. Ask her herself 😊
If you are in Tokyo, do not miss this opportunity.
My tour was in German, but she also offers tours in English and Japanese.
